Spring Break

It seems most of the mom's I know look forward to spring break, and time off from the routine.  While I do enjoy hanging out with my kids, spring break causes a great deal of anxiety and stress, rather then joy and excitement.  I start thinking weeks ahead, planning how to entertain them so I can work, and they don't sit and watch TV for a week straight.  With Kira and Andrew now at different school districts, it is even more difficult as they have their breaks at different times.   With Kira's break I was relieved that Tom's mom was in town so they had a good amount of time hanging out and watching movies.   Andrew's fell the next week so I kidnapped my cousins son Ryan, from Carson City, to come spend the week.  I have learned over the years and two is always better then one, and Andrew and Ryan are two "peas in a pod".  They have a lot in common and we had a great week hanging out and getting to know this distant cousin.

We were busy... spent a day at the Academy of Science where I worked in the Cafe, and they had a good time seeing every inch of the place.  Thankfully know one asked them where their parents were.  There were many days full of video games, but we did break in our new passes to Great America, and hit up the Zoo as well.  Rain got in the way of any beach time so we will have to do that on the next visit.

Thanks Ryan!  We had a blast and we will do it again soon.

Sean still keeps asking what your name is, "you know, my new friend, what is his name?"
My cousin Jen and I.
Academy of Sciences, thankfully no one asked us to leave.

SF Zoo, watching the Bears.

Jelly Belly Factory, giving Ryan back to his mom.
