Sean's First Week

Good news, we have survived the first week. Tom and I are more tired then ever, but Sean is gaining weight, Kira and Andrew have been making it to school, and all is happy and peaceful in the Porter house.
This week has been mostly about healing, sleeping, changing diapers, nursing, and more sleeping (when we can). We've had a few visitors, and dinners from friends have been the most appreciated. Nothing like not having to cook.

Sean did manage to spend sometime with Kira and Andrew. They both love to read to him and play the piano for him to listen. He seems to really enjoy it, even though he pretty much sleeps through most of it. Here is a picture of Sean hanging out with his brother, Andrew.

Our bishop and his wife had a boy, Austin just 2 weeks before Sean. They got to meet this week and I am sure they will be good friends for years to come. (Sean is on the left)

Holy Cow, BIG Baby

Sean Thomas Porter

Born: 9/22/08 at 10:22am
Weight 9lbs. 12oz.

Mom and baby are recovering well, and our whole family is excited to show him off to the world. More details will be coming (like Tom's placenta picture). In the meantime, here are some of his first pictures.
Right after birth.
Sean meets his brother and sister.

A tired Dad.

The due date has come and gone...

The due date (September 18th) is long gone now. We are still waiting for the baby, but the good news is my doctor will induce on Monday if he hasn't come. It is now Saturday night, and I have spent all day walking around the zoo with the kids and also cleaned my house. Still no contractions or any indication that this baby is coming. Looks like we will welcome this little boy on Monday. Stay tuned.

Could this belly get any bigger?

The count down is officially on and I can't imagine being pregnant any longer. If I could have this baby tonight that would be just fine. The problem is I have been saying that for over a week now, and still no baby. The official due date (Sept. 18th), is still a ways off, but I am still hoping to meet this baby sometime this week. Everyone think happy labor thoughts and hopefully this baby will get the message.

One Man...One Shovel, One Job Well Done!

I love Indian Summers in Pacifica

We are lucky to get our best weather in Pacifica during September. The only way to spend these days is at the beach, and it is even better when our entire ward is there to join us. As you can see, today was a great day.Kira with her friend Katie.

A bunch of buried kids.
