Tom and I usually say it was the "best weekend ever," when we do something with out the other just to rub it in. This past weekend, Tom stayed in Pacifica to work while the kids and I headed to Hanford to see my brother Jeremy receive Teacher of the Year for Kings County. While in Hanford we did some of our favorite things, eat Superior Dairy Ice Cream, swim, cruise by some garage sales, and ate strawberry shortcake. Of course we also loved hanging out with family. Our trips there are always too short but we are glad it's only a 3 1/2 hour drive so we can go again soon.

Here are all the kids cheering Jeremy on. When our family gets together with all the kids, we bring our own party. We made quite the cheering section for Jeremy. The sign says We love Mr. Scholz, not We love Mrs Chol.

Yummiest ice cream ever. See those servings, that is 1 scoop. This trip we managed to bring some ice cream home on dry ice to share with Tom.
