I am embarrassed to say, yesterday I had to get a root canal. Not only is this adorable baby sucking me dry of energy and has yet to sleep more then a 3 hour stretch, the pregnancy left me with a large cavity that has resulted in a root canal. Yes I was annoyed, and really didn't want to go do this, but I did. The most annoying part was this.

I sat down and told the dentist that I really didn't want to go through with this. He found out that I had a young baby and said this, "Oh no worries, I love to work on moms with young babies. They are usually so tired that they get in my chair, have time to themselves for the first time in months, and fall asleep." I wanted to reach out and punch him since getting a root canal was the last way I wanted to spend any free time. Needless to say, I got in the chair, listened to the music and well... feel asleep. It is a sad life when it takes a root canal to get an hour to yourself.

Thought I was kidding?

I really have a Michael Jackson doll. Pulled it out of the garage today.

Goodbye to Michael Jackson

I was saddened to hear that Michael Jackson died today. Yes he turned into quite the freak, but he was still the guy behind Billy Jean and was the guy in a yellow poster on my wall as a kid. (I left out that I often kissed that poster good night).

Just a few years ago, we visited Tom sister Marci and her husband Brad who live near Neverland Ranch outside of Los Olivos. Our kids at the time didn't know who he was, but we were sure to have them do the thriller stance (above) and Andrew got in a crotch grab (below). It was all for a good laugh then, but I am glad I got these pictures.

Do you think my Michael Jackson doll in the garage is now worth something?
I also have to add that Tom was more sad about Farrah Fawcett. I know he had her poster on his wall at some point.

You wish...

you had a husband that did all your laundry.
Ever since we were married, and a little before, Tom has always done all the laundry. On Saturdays, after a run or after paddling out, he comes home and does the laundry. I have always loved it and I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate it. Even after discovering he choose laundry because he can fold while watching sports, I still am thankful for what he does. Now if I can just get him to clean the toilets.Happy Fathers Day Tom!

What is Better than Bowling?

FREE bowling.Well almost free.
It cost me about $23.00 for a summer pass for our entire family. We can play 2 games a day for the entire summer. Let's just hope my kids don't grow up to be chain smoking beer drinking bowling league members. Once you get past the heavy smoking smell, it is a lot fun.
Those of you that are local, here is the link to get your own pass.

The most difficult part was not avoiding the gutters, it was keeping Sean from going after the pins.

Dan Dr. Reunion

Up until I was 14, my family lived on Dan Dr. in Armona. The neighbors were all close, we had yearly block parties, and there were lots of kids to play with in the streets. It was a fun time in my life and it was just as much fun to see all these people I grew up with re-united last Saturday. We met at the park reminisced and had a fun day.

My family.

Everyone who came. My family makes up about 1/3 of this group.
Tom couldn't make it so we partied with out him. (Best weekend ever!)
