I am embarrassed to say, yesterday I had to get a root canal. Not only is this adorable baby sucking me dry of energy and has yet to sleep more then a 3 hour stretch, the pregnancy left me with a large cavity that has resulted in a root canal. Yes I was annoyed, and really didn't want to go do this, but I did. The most annoying part was this.I sat down and told the dentist that I really didn't want to go through with this. He found out that I had a young baby and said this, "Oh no worries, I love to work on moms with young babies. They are usually so tired that they get in my chair, have time to themselves for the first time in months, and fall asleep." I wanted to reach out and punch him since getting a root canal was the last way I wanted to spend any free time. Needless to say, I got in the chair, listened to the music and well... feel asleep. It is a sad life when it takes a root canal to get an hour to yourself.

How did it go for you, other than the 1 hour rest you received. It is funny that a dentist would say that, but it is true.
Oh no! I am sorry to hear about your tooth. I probably would have rathered spent my time shopping or sleeping in my own bed. LOL Well, at least it is over and you are good to go now.
Hee hee, that *is* pretty sad! Although I am sure a root canal is in my future at some point, I was happy to read that you actually did fall asleep, rather than wither there in pain!
I feel your pain. Thankfully our little guy is sleeping more. Hang in there.
