We spent another weekend in Hanford, not to see the grandparents (they weren't even there), but so Kira could attend the Hanford Mormal with her cousins. She is been counting down the weekends until she could go and it finally arrive. I always giggle to know I spent a lot of energy to get out of Hanford, but if you ask my kids it is their favorite place to be. Sometimes, hot summers by the pool beat out foggy summers with an Ocean View. On the drive back Kira was sure to give me the dates for their Youth Conference so I guess we will be headed back next month.

While Kira, Michaela and Madison spent the day getting their hair and makeup done, I got to hang out poolside with this group. There was a day when I would have preferred to be getting dolled up and heading to a dance, but not anymore. Stick me with a group of loud crazy kids by the pool, and I am happy as a clam. The pool babysits, and I get to relax.
