Tom and Andrew got up early while we were staying in Heber to get in a trip to the beloved Porterville.
Porterville is a town, northeast of Salt Lake (along the immigrant trail) that was settled by Tom's Great, Great, Great Grandfather, Sanford Porter. Tom has been talking about Porterville for many years, and finally got the chance to connect with his family history, once he got past the sheep in the road.
| The old Church building that was dedicated by Joseph F. Smith in 1908 and is now for sale for $205,750. |
| Of course, the most exciting was the "Porter-potty" in Porterville. |
Yes, they really took this trip and Tom really got Andrew to go along. Thinking it would be boring, I was pleasantly surprise that Andrew really enjoyed it (even if it was for the "rocking out" road trip to our satellite radio)
