Grandma's Know Best

Sometimes I forget it is the small things that matter most. The other day my kids all got mail which is the most exciting. Anything with their name on it slipped in the mail box is like winning the lottery. To make it even better Grandma slipped in coupons for FREE Frosty's from Wendy's. Grandma you made their days. We will be going soon so I don't have to listen to them asking to go every day.

I love that Sean was so excited only because Kira and Andrew were excited. He will know soon just how great a Frosty is, but it will take years to realize how much better they are when they are free.

In Case you are Trying to Reach Me...

You won't be able to, unless you call the house. I have lost my cell phone, it has now been 24 hrs since I have seen it, and I can't hear any ringing when I call it. Also, those that know me, know I will not be calling anyone either since I don't have anyone's phone numbers committed to memory.

While I was frustrated this morning for not having it, Andrew perked up in delight on the way to school. He was assuming since I have lost my phone, that I would be replacing it with a new iPhone 4 and in turn he would get the old iPhone 3 that I took from Tom. That is not what is happening but I love how kids can always spin things into something about them.

Sorry if you have left me a VM in the last 24 hrs, I will not be returning your call right away. Hopefully the phone will turn up.

The Dentist

There is something about seeing your kids this way that makes all the yelling about brushing their teeth worth while. I have to say sitting and watching this all take place was the most relaxed I felt all day.
That is until it was Sean's turn.
The screaming was shaking the walls of the dentist office.

My Appreciation for the Giants

Unfortunately for Tom, I am not a sports fan. He is a BIG sports fan, and I mean all sports from Ping Pong to the National Spelling Bee. He is often disappointed that I won't sit down and enjoy a football or baseball game with him. With the Giants recent wins, and the World Series looking more and more of a possibility (I hope I didn't just jinx it) I wanted to show my love and support by adding a little Orange to our house. No, it is not quite Giants orange, but it is as close as I could bring myself to get.

Now when you open our closets, you get a little Giants surprise, and hopefully no longer a moldy smell. See Tom, I have small space in my heart reserved for the Giants.

FHE Porter Style

Sometimes it consists of dip cones from DQ, reading a chapter of scriptures, and then we call it a night.
It's fun that Sean can now sit at the table and join us. When he was a baby we used to sit him in the center of the table and watch him try to reach for all of our cones. Now, he can handle his own, as well as mine.

Sean's First Air

We are starting him out early. Next it will be on his own bike.
