The Deck is Gone

Sean spent most of the day by the window watching it all happen.

Oakland A's vs NY Yankees

Ever since our friend Merrill decided to move to Napa the well of Giants tickets has run dry. We are now having to dip into the small well of A's tickets that come through Tom's boss. While the game was a lot of fun, I have to say there is just nothing that tops going to AT&T park to see the Giants.

Bathroom Remodel, Day 7

The shower stall is now ready for the concrete pan and then tiling. One hold up is we have yet to find the matching tile. We have had a few almost matches but not quite close enough. Could be a few more days and a few more samples before the tiling actually starts.

In the meantime work is starting on the deck outside. I will post pictures of that job as it is coming along.

It Didn't Stop with Taylor Swift

The day after the concert a friend of my brothers got us all in to Magic Mountain for the day. The best part was he hooked us up with VIP bracelets so there was no waiting in line. We just made our way up the exit of the ride, and hopped on any ride we wanted. You should have seen the annoyed looks from the poor people that had been waiting in line for hours when they saw these kids take their seats.

Andrew was finally tall enough for the big roller coasters. He started with the Batman ride then it was one after another. Kira spent the day with all the girls getting in as many rides as they could.

I was having so much fun watching them have fun, there is only one picture.

This will be a hard weekend to top for awhile. I just hope my kids don't think this is going to be a regular thing. I am not sure going to an amusement park will ever be as cool and fun as this was.

My brother Jeff out did himself this weekend. I love him dearly but not just because of the perks. He is the brother that used to lock me in the laundry room as a kid and make me walk a few feet behind him in the mall so girls wouldn't think I was his girlfriend. I loved him then and still love him now, with or with out the perks. Thanks again Jeff!

Taylor Swift!

Thankfully my brother thought it would be a good idea to take all the cousin to the Taylor Swift concert. Since there are so many, he got a box, and we all had a blast.

Hopefully my ears will stop ringing soon from all the

screaming girls.

Thanks Jeff! A night we wont soon forget.

Road Trip!

When I brother called to say he had a box suite at the Taylor Swift concert in LA and asked if we wanted to come. I didn't hesitate.

Today I have piled the kids in the car and almost like concert groupies we are headed off to LA. Just wish we had a carpet lined van or that we were seeing some underground punk group, but box suite at Taylor Swift will work just fine.

Goodbye work, see you later contractors and dust and mess, sayonara school, we will miss you Tom wish you were coming!

Hopefully we can drop Sean off with Grandma. He is definitely crimping our style.

Bathroom Remodel, Day 3

I decided maybe a daily photo was too much since there really isn't much of a change. Still lots of dust and noise and two contractors added to my daily juggles. Today I was holding a sad Sean, and answering a question for the contractor, all while I had a client on hold, fun huh?

I am seeing glimpses of what might be greatness when it is all done, but I am still a little nervous about it all. Tonight around 8pm, I went in to see what was done today. I noticed the new tub faucets where in and quickly started trying them out. After turning on and off the water with my cool new faucet I realized the hot water would not turn off. I tried everything I could think of but couldn't get the water to stop. I finally had to call the contractor to come over so we could get it to stop. That is what I get for tinkering too early.
