Ward Campout

No sleep, but so much fun. We had good food, great company, bonfire skits and s'mores, and fun games. We even learned that Sean loves fire. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Finally...

we went to see Wicked, and LOVED it! The soundtrack will be playing repeatedly in our house for quite sometime.

I have been meaning to take the kids and when Tom's brother Vern called to say they were coming to SF to see it, I jumped online and bought the tickets. Thanks Tom for staying home and babysitting.

My favorite part? Watching Kira and Andrew enjoy the show. Andrew had no idea what to expect. He thought it was going to be just like seeing a movie and he was quite surprised by it all. Kira, she was in tears, on the edge of her seat, and shaking with a large grin through the entire thing. Needless to say, she now wants to be a Broadway star and see her name in lights. Someday we just might see that.

Cori, For You.

Vern and Amy made it. Amy is so happy to be here she jumped right on Kira's pink bike and headed to the beach. (I know she is going to kill me for this.)

Family Reunion Skits

A little on the ridiculous side but so much fun. We do this every 2 years with Tom's family and we always have a good laugh.A fun game by Cori and Vern. Uncle Jim and the kids shared "Hey Now" by the Talking Heads.
Dan, Rachel and Alex and Steven hiding behind Alex.
Our family trying unsuccessfully to get Sean to perform.
Kelsey and Ken story telling.
Marci and Brad sharing a favorite song of Grandpa Porters, "Cry of the Wild Goose".
Grandma Porter and her final thoughts.

Sean recently discovered...

the joy of watermelon on a hot summer day.

The Best Stress Reliever

Is a drive in North Western Oregon along the Historic Columbia River Hwy.
Amazing views of the Columbia River
The visitor Center, very cool building.
Tom, Sean and Latourell Falls
The kids and I enjoying the waterfall.
The Grand Daddy of Waterfalls, Multnomah Falls.
If you look closely you can see Tom, Kira, Andrew and Sean waving in the middle.
